Internet Protocol: The set of values responsible for guaranteeing that data packets transmitted via Internet are sent to the correct destinations
HTTP: hyper text transfer protocol. Is the communication protocol for transmitting linked documents between computers; it is the basis for the World Wide Web.
FTP: file transfer protocol is the communication protocol that transfers files without losing data and can handle binary and ASCII files
TCP/IP: Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol is the basic communication language of the Internet.
Cookies: Small files that are stored on your computer temporarily or permanently to keep updated on your preferences.
Listserv: A software that maintains the electronic mailing list, it will scan a list server to update who wants to for example, subscribe for the daily weather report or unsubscribe from it.
Web cam: A digital camera that can capture, film and transmit data over the internet.

Netiquette: Proper manners being used by two or more users communicating on online services or networks. In other words theseof the internet.
Intranet: a private network usually used and maintained by a particular organisation’s employees
